Schools play a critical role in a child’s recovery after brain injury, yet educational teams may have limited experience understanding how traumatic and acquired brain injuries can affect learning, behavior, communication, and functioning over time. Medical recommendations can also be difficult to translate into the realities of a classroom and school day.

My work bridges this gap by helping schools understand the educational impact of brain injury and translate that knowledge into practical, individualized support for students. I collaborate with school teams, families, and medical providers to support return-to-school planning, identify changing needs, and develop strategies that can be implemented in real-world educational settings.

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in research, specialized knowledge of childhood brain injury, and more than 25 years of experience working as a school psychologist.

Through Continuum, I bring together expertise in education and childhood brain injury to help schools build the knowledge, plans, and supports students need to successfully return to learning and continue progressing over time.
